Great area, for beginners, but also enough for more experienced riders if you include the Steinplatte where you can go to the Austrian side.

Steinplatte is an hour's drive from Munich and is a very close ski resort. The ski resort is divided into two parts, Germany and Austria. For the German to Austria section, you need to take a cable car first and then ski a very short red trail. You can ski back on the way back or take the cable car. You can ski to the parking lot in the German part, but the temperature is too high today, and there is no snow around the cable car on the mountain, let alone the road to the parking lot. Route 17 in the German section is a long, wide, straight and slow blue road, which is very suitable for people who are afraid of speed to experience the feeling of speed. This road is absolutely safe. There is no need to slow down at all. You can hear the sound of the wind without slowing down. It is truly a family ski resort. The Austrian part of Funpark is right next to the Blue Trail. Follow Route 4 all the way down. The kids can play in the Funpark, and parents can practice on Route 4 next to it. No. 4 and No. 5 are both blue trails, long and wide, with a combination of steep and gentle trails, which is very suitable for practice. The difficulty of Red Trail No. 3 is relatively low. A very steep section is followed by a long gentle slope. It is very wide and is suitable as an introductory red trail and also suitable for practicing cross-country skiing. Today, I practiced most of the horizontal downhill and incline downhill, plus the half plow style. Anyway, I came down from the red road, yeah✌️ The restaurant is nice, and you don’t have to go down stairs to use the restroom, so you don’t have to experience the sour feeling of walking down stairs in snow boots. A dinosaur park was built here in the summer. We brought our children here before, and we didn’t know what skiing was at that time. The weather was too hot. The temperature was 13 degrees below the mountain and more than 5 degrees on the mountain. We arrived at the ski resort around 9 o'clock, and the parking lot was very empty. Some places on Route 17, which is at a low altitude, are not only covered with turf, but also with stones. In the afternoon, the snow at high altitudes was too wet to slide on, and there were a lot of snow packs, so when we got down to the parking lot at 4 o'clock, there were almost no cars and everyone left early.
